Underground Utility Contractor Working Supervisors

The Working Supervisor positions require strong leadership, communication, organizational skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate works with minimal direction, is a team player, and takes initiative.
Must have proven experience with leading day-to-day activities in the field, timely and accurate reporting to management for job costing and contracts management, change orders, performing quality control inspections and punch lists during and after construction, effectively communicating with management on all matters, other contractors and site personnel. Must be able to read and understand construction drawings and have a strong desire to succeed.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be highly proficient in the following essential skills and responsibilities:
• Thorough understanding of underground utilities (water, sewer, storm sewer, lift stations, etc.).
• Ability to work in operational manholes, lift stations, open sewer systems and other confined space environments.
• Underground utility related critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Subcontractor management– when/as it occurs.
• Project scheduling – to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
• Direct client Interaction – when/as it occurs.
• Management of work crews.
• Effective written/oral communication skills.

Education and Experience Required:
• Preferred minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in underground utilities job site supervision (water, sewer, storm sewer, lift stations, etc.).
• Trenchless Technology experience is highly desirable. Ability to work in a trenchless technology environment is necessary.
• Proven experience managing others.
• Maintaining standards for safety, ethical behavior, and customer service at all times.
• Collaborating with your team in set up of projects to ensure profitability, client satisfaction and the best subcontractors for the job.
• Working in partnership with the other managers to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule.
• Promoting positive relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all team members, subcontractors and vendors and continually instilling this philosophy in the project team at all times
• Communicating effectively with field team members as well as including them in decision-making

• Pre-employment drug test and background check for felony convictions, sexual predator, and reckless driving history will be conducted.
• Valid Driver’s License, good driving record and ability to be covered under our insurance is essential for Working Supervisor.
• We work primarily in the Tampa Bay area but flexibility to travel within the State of Florida, and to remain “out of town” for periods of time, is required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour

Candidates with previous “Trenchless Technology” experience (pipe bursting, slip lining, CIPP, etc.) and managing of projects utilizing trenchless technologies will be given strong consideration.
