Olive Recruiting is looking for a Superintendent for a client in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area. This position involves working closely with Sales and Operations to conduct site surveys and engage directly with customers. This role supports the planning, coordination, and direction of processes related to the maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. The Superintendent may additionally be responsible for overseeing or participating in job site organization, coordinating labor and material schedules, and implementing various procedures as required.

Full-time, direct hire with client
Schedule: Variable pending project demands (standard hours are 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Responsibilities:
• Direct and coordinate activities across departments to ensure that all materials, labor, equipment, and necessary items are available per job-specific or customer-specific requirements
• Serve as the primary daily customer interface, attending status/scheduling meetings, addressing quality concerns, and resolving issues
• Conduct site visits to gather information for accurate job quotes in collaboration with Sales and Sales Admin
• Develop and implement schedules for rigging crews according to customer requirements
• Work with the Operations Manager and workforce to achieve operational goals in terms of volume, cost, quality, safety, and scheduling
• Train and instruct crews in safety procedures and best practices
• Coordinate safety training, investigate incidents, and report on accidents, injuries, and property damage
• Promote an effective safety culture among employees
• Manage site projects by organizing all project details to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Participate in the selection, procurement, and upkeep of rigging and installation equipment
• Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to maintain effective working relationships
• Build strong relationships with customers, business partners, and internal teams through excellent communication
• Maintain professional conduct aligned with company mission, vision, and values
• Handle customer complaints and recommend solutions with the Regional Office General Manager
• Participate in job walks and assist with bids/estimates for accurate project pricing
• Stay informed about industry trends through educational workshops and professional networks
• Review technical documents, answer scope/timing questions, monitor costs, and track project progress • Plan, administer, and complete assigned projects spanning multiple functional areas (e.g., facilities, operations, administration)
• Provide work direction to support staff and contractors
• Communicate project cost, staffing, and scheduling updates directly with contractors/designers/owners • Prepare project status reports to ensure adherence to contract specifications
• Oversee job site management activities for crews
Qualifications:
• High School diploma; continuing education in Business, Project, or Construction Management preferred
• Minimum 4 years of proven operations management experience, ideally in construction, manufacturing, or rigging
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
