Description of Primary Duties Office Assistant(s) (OAs) for the Office of Multicultural Programs will assist in carrying out general office duties to maintain the space, structure, and operations of the Multicultural Resource Center. Office Assistant Positions are typically between 9am and 5pm.
This position will be housed in the Multicultural Resource Center on the 1st Floor of the Plaster Student Union.
This position reports directly to the Director of the Office of Multicultural Program.
- This position has a minimum of 8 hours per week with a maximum of 15 hours per week and 1000 hours per contract year.
Required Qualifications This position has the following minimum qualifications:
- Work Study Required - You are required to be a Federal Work Study Recipient to hold this position.
- Intermediate skill in written & verbal communication, specifically as it relates to customer-service focused interactions with students, staff, faculty, and community entities.
- General knowledge of culturally competent practice, awareness of gaps in personal cultural knowledge, and comfortability with working with diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and political populations.
- Independent work ethic.
