Marketing, Events and Development Coordinator Job Description Kids on Bikes (KOB) was established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 2005 with a mission to inspire and empower all kids to lead healthy, active, and happy lives through bicycling. Our top priorities are to provide all kids access to rideable bikes, opportunities to ride, and bicycling education to empower bicycle ambassadors for the future.
Job Description: The Marketing, Events and Development Coordinator will be supporting Kids on Bikes social media platforms, content calendar, event planning and coordination, various fundraising efforts, and marketing campaigns. We seek a professional who takes charge of a dynamic plan for creating and maintaining brand awareness. This role is perfect for those passionate about crafting compelling marketing strategies and engaging with members of the community throughout the year while remaining organized, communicating effectively, and remaining self-motivated.
Responsibilities To grow and positively impact Kids on Bikes and The Pedal Station by developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to drive business growth
Year-round marketing, event planning and coordination.
Create quality, consistent, and cohesive content about the Pedal Station and connect KOB and our mission on a daily/weekly basis.
Coordinate and market bike donation drives.
Annual Fundraising luncheon, planning, coordination and sponsorships.
Maintain a donor database and create campaigns around past donors.
Creation of end of year donor impact letters and donation receipts.
Create specific marketing strategies based on our organizational goals which will create and continue our growth
Attend events and activities that builds community relationships to find volunteers, drive brand awareness, and solicit donations/donors
Supporting the Executive Director with any funder relationship needs and funding strategies.
Manage social media platforms, creating engaging content that resonates with our audience.
Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, providing recommendations for improvement
Monthly Newsletter
Event and fundraising event coordination, planning and execution.
Coordinate email and mail marketing campaigns for all aspects of organizations revenue streams.
Office Check assigned email account daily; respond to emails within a reasonable time
Knowledge of Google Drive, Google Calendar, Excel, Word, and Gmail functionalities
Knowledge of Canva, Instagram, Loomly, LinkedIn and Facebook
Maintains open lines of communication with the Deputy Director and other key staff, including weekly check-ins, providing data and reports as requested, and collaborating on the assessment and development of marketing strategies.
Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Skills Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in a similar role.
Excellent analytical skills with a goal-oriented approach
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
This position reports directly to the Deputy Director. This individual has a compelling and energetic passion for supporting and enhancing KOB and is able to fulfill various roles to support the organization. This individual thrives in an ever-changing environment and enjoys working independently as well as working closely with a team. This person must demonstrate an ability to achieve desired results in working closely with the KOB staff, volunteers and other stakeholders throughout the year.

Pay and Benefits This is a full-time hourly position located in Colorado Springs. Hourly pay starts at $20.00 per hour, but is dependent on qualifications and experience of the applicant.
Kids on Bikes offers a generous benefits package including group medical, dental, and vision plans, short-term disability and flexible time off. Bike Industry benefits are also included.
Paycheck is bi-weekly. Applicants must pass State and Federal background checks.
