As a
Compliance Investigator within the Office of Inspector General at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
Applicant preferably living in one of the following counties: Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Bulloch, Evans or Tombs. Job Responsibilities - Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas.
- Assists in developing and administering policies, procedures, and plans.
- Assists in preparing comprehensive and detailed reports of investigation.
- Conducts investigations to ascertain facts and obtain evidence on alleged violations and misconduct; interviews witnesses and obtains statements.
- Monitors compliance with terms of licensure.
- Compiles and prepares summary reports, maintains case files and documentation of case resolutions, and tracking data for legal requirements.
- Conducts WIC Vendor Monitoring visits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Investigates complaints of frauds of abuse.
- Conducts WIC Vendor background investigations.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
OR Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
AND One year of related experience
OR High school diploma or GED
AND Two years of related experience.
Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
