Looking to work in social services and make a difference? Join our team as our next Community Support Worker and have the opportunity to learn about social services, the court system, and services that are available throughout the state. Join a dedicated and committed team that provides hands-on support and resources to individuals in our community who need real time, concrete, care coordination, and compassion. This position assists individuals with substance use disorders (SUD) and behavioral health needs navigate the complex social service system and find valuable community resources.
What You Will Be Doing to Make a Difference... •Offering resources and support
•Strategizing with individuals on treatment needs and goals
•Providing critical medical and behavioral health resources and referrals
•Working collaboratively with service providers
•Supporting individuals who have been marginalized due to behavioral health needs
•Proving hands on supports and resources
•Making meaningful connections to other service providers
•Complete intakes, assessments, and treatment plans
•Driving is required

Requirements
•BA in related field preferred, high school equivalency with two years of relevant experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs.
•Experience or commitment to learn the social service and health care system
•Ability to work independently and ask for help when needed
•Experience with using an electronic medical record is desirable.
•Preferred that the candidate has a working knowledge of community resources
•Commitment to engaging individuals who may be ambivalent about services
•Collaborate with other disciplines and services.
•Have strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with community partners.
•Practice trauma informed care, person-centered and recovery-oriented treatment modalities.
